Zuma Charges African Leaders on Education at Rochas Foundation Visit
Former South African President Jacob Zuma visited Owerri, Imo State, where he signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Jacob Zuma Foundation and the Rochas Foundation College of Africa. He urged African leaders to prioritise and invest in education as a cornerstone for the continent’s development. Zuma emphasised his journey, having been imprisoned for ten years during his anti-apartheid struggle, stating that quality education empowers the youth and builds self-reliance among Africans

The MoU aims to provide free, quality education to underprivileged children across Africa. Zuma highlighted the partnership’s symbolic significance, describing it as the beginning of a broader effort to address Africa’s systemic challenges through education
To Africans, I always say, don’t teach a child simply because you are a teacher and it’s your profession; bear in mind you are helping an African to be empowered to help Africa, just like Rochas Foundation College of Africa is doing.
H.E Jacob Zuma – Former President of South Africa.
Governor Rochas Okorocha, Founder of the Rochas Foundation, noted that the College of Africa serves over 15,000 students from 55 African countries, with more than 4,000 graduates. He reaffirmed his commitment by dedicating 75% of his resources to support educational initiatives
