Teach A Child-Sponsor A Child
TACSAC is an acronym for “Teach A Child-Sponsor A Child” and the goal is to encourage the public to take an active role in the effort to improve the education system in Nigeria, by providing opportunities for individuals and organizations to sponsor a child’s education. The project aims to raise awareness about the importance of education, and to mobilize efforts to support the development of inclusive and equitable educational systems.
Additionally, the project encourages members of the public to volunteer as teachers or mentor for the children. This way, the children will have the opportunity to learn from experienced and qualified teachers and it will also help in providing the children with mentorship that will aid in their personal development.
How Can This Be Achieved?
The “Teach a Child/Sponsor a Child” project can be achieved through a combination of different strategies and activities. Some of these include:
- Partnering with government both at state and Federal level, private organizations, and community groups etc. to identify and reach out to disadvantaged children who are in need of sponsorship.
- Launching a public awareness campaign to raise awareness about the importance of education and the need for support to improve the education system in Nigeria.
- Setting up a donation platform where individuals and organizations can sponsor a child’s education by providing financial support for tuition, books, uniforms, and other necessary expenses.
- Recruitment of volunteers to serve as teachers or mentors for the children. This will ensure that the children have access to experienced and qualified teachers, and will also provide them with mentorship that will aid in their personal development.
- Regular monitoring and evaluation of the project to measure its impact and identify areas for improvement.
By implementing these strategies, the Rochas Foundation hopes to achieve the goals of the “Teach a Child/Sponsor a Child” project and make a meaningful impact in the lives of disadvantaged children and youth in Nigeria.
The Intended Result
The desired output for the Rochas Foundation’s Teach A Child-Sponsor A Child project would be an increase in the number of children receiving quality education and reaching their full potential in Nigeria.
