Rochas Foundation received the new ambassador of South Sudan to Nigeria, H.E David Buom Choat, on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the foundation Headquarters in Abuja. The Ambassador, who visited the foundation to formally introduce himself, was well-received by the founder of the Rochas Foundation, H.E Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

The foundation congratulated the ambassador on his new appointment while also bringing the ambassador on board with the foundation’s core aims of providing 5 less-privileged children from 55 African countries with free, quality, and comprehensive education, of which 10 students from South Sudan are currently beneficiaries.

The highly impressed ambassador expressed his gratitude to the foundation for its contribution to South Sudan. He further discussed future plans and expectations with the Rochas Foundation.

The Ambassador, through a video call, formally introduced himself to the South Sudan students and checked on their welfare. He was excited to hear that the first Head boy of ROFOCA, Emmanuel Yanga, and the Head girl and Head boy for the 2021–2022 academic session, Christina Angnong Thomas and Simon Akol, are from South Sudan.
