Mentorship Program
Do you know that the Rochas Foundation runs a mentorship program?
The mentorship program was introduced on the fourth International Day of Education. It is an initiative aimed at creating a mentorship system in the lives of the students of Rochas Foundation in order to aid their development.
A mentor is a seasoned and experienced professional who advises trains and guides a less experienced person in their professional endeavors. The mentor offers solution and advises to the mentee based on his/her knowledge, skills and experience. He/she also provides a sense of direction, coaching, motivation, network and support to ensure that mentees goals are successfully achieved.
The mentorship program was pioneered to ensure that the students of the Rochas Foundation College and Rochas Foundation College of Africa are well groomed and guided in making excellent life and career choices. We are also keen on providing a sense of direction to our students so they can set and achieve their long-term and short-term goal to enable them develop their full potentials.
The initiative focuses on providing education for all with the addition of paying attention to the mentorship and emotional aspect of a child’s life. Over the years mentorship has proven to yield positive result not just educationally but in other spheres of life. Having considered the beneficial impact it would have on its students, the Foundation embarked on this project.
Therefore to achieve the desired goal, Rochas Foundation encourages dignitaries, professionals, personalities and stakeholders to serve as mentors for this children so that they can have role models and guides they look up to at all times.
Additionally we expect for the mentorship program to extend beyond the academic realm and to have an impact on our student’s personal development and growth so they can develop life changing skills such as leadership, planning, communication, team-playing and networking skills.
The Foundation emphasizes on the need for the mentors to be passionate and easily accessible to the students and most importantly to be committed towards building transformative leaders.
